1. Overview

UnstuckLabs (we, us, our) operates unstucklabs.store. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We take privacy seriously. We collect only what we need, we do not sell your data, and we use privacy-friendly tools wherever possible.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Data

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address — for account authentication and transactional emails (purchase confirmation, product access)
  • Password (stored as a secure hash — we never see your plaintext password)

2.2 Purchase Data

When you purchase a product:

  • Payment is processed entirely by Paddle.com Market Limited (our Merchant of Record)
  • We do not receive or store your credit card number, billing address, or payment method details
  • We receive from Paddle: your email address, the product purchased, the transaction ID, and whether payment was successful

2.3 User-Entered Application Data

Our applications ask you to enter personal information such as:

  • Age, height, weight, activity level, and health goals (MacroClarity)
  • Daily tasks and focus session data (Unstuck Daily)

This data is stored in our database (MongoDB) solely to provide the app functionality. We do not share this data with any third party. It is used only to generate your results within the app.

2.4 Usage Data (Analytics)

We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individual users across sessions. Plausible collects only aggregated, anonymous data such as:

  • Page views and referral sources
  • Country-level location (not city or IP address)
  • Device type and browser

No personal identifiers are collected through analytics.

2.5 AI Feature Data

Some products use AI-powered features via the OpenRouter API (which routes requests to various AI providers). When you use an AI feature:

  • The data you submit (e.g., your task description or macro breakdown) is sent to OpenRouter's API to generate a response
  • OpenRouter processes this data under their own Privacy Policy: https://openrouter.ai/privacy
  • We do not send your name, email, or account ID to OpenRouter
  • OpenRouter's API data retention policies apply to any data transmitted

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Authenticate your account and maintain your session
  • Deliver purchased products and verify payment status
  • Power in-app features (calculations, AI explanations, focus tracking)
  • Send transactional emails (receipt, access confirmation)
  • Improve our products using aggregated, anonymous analytics

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using MongoDB on our secure server infrastructure. We implement:

  • User-level data isolation to ensure users can only access their own data
  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission
  • Hashed passwords (bcrypt)

No system is 100% secure. If a breach occurs that affects your data, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable law.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies necessary for the site to function:

  • Authentication session cookie — keeps you logged in during your session
  • Preference cookie — remembers your dark/light mode preference (if applicable)

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

All users:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — request corrections to inaccurate data
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data

EU/EEA residents (GDPR):

  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent

California residents (CCPA):

  • Right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used
  • Right to delete personal information
  • Right to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information)
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights

8. Data Retention

9. Children's Privacy

Our products are intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us immediately at hello@unstucklabs.store and we will delete it.

10. International Users

UnstuckLabs serves a global audience. Your data may be transferred to and processed in the country where our infrastructure is hosted. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.

For EU/EEA users, this transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms where required.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice on the site. The Last Updated date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
